Which Plant Can Help Reduce the Symptoms of Acid Reflux?

I have asked a wonderful Naturopath and Herbalist to write a Guest Post, because we have something exciting to tell you! Last year, Gosia Kuszewski (photo above) introduced me to the most amazing fruiting plant which can help people reduce the symptoms of acid reflux naturally! The healing properties and enzymes within this plant can help us to digest our food more effectively. For some individuals who are Gluten Intolerant, this natural plant based supplement could even help to digest gluten when you accidentally eat it. It’s worth asking your health professional about it. To learn more about this beautiful plant and product, I have asked Gosia Kuszewski to write this helpful article just for you.

Hi Inspired 4 Health Community,

Digestive issues such as bloating, heartburn, inability to lose weight, or putting on weight easily, low energy, discomfort after eating and extensive food intolerances are the most common complaints I come across in my naturopathic practice.

The use of antibiotics, antacids, artificially grown food, exposure to chemicals, overeating of processed foods, a diet high in meat and dairy, and refined flour such as pasta and bread, are all major contributors to the underlying cause of gut issues that a growing number of people suffer from.

As we age we produce less important enzymes, especially those needed to effectively digest proteins. If proteins are not digested properly they lead to an overgrowth of unwanted bacteria in the intestinal tract, leading to chronic illness.

We know that we are what we eat, but we must focus on how we are able to digest, absorb and eliminate. Our overall health depends on a properly functioning digestive system.

Over the years I’ve used many different herbs and digestive enzymes to improve the works of the digestive function, however there is one single, natural remedy, which does wonders – it’s GREEN PAPAYA.

For centuries, green papaya has been an important remedy in natural healing. It has also been part of the staple diet of many indigenous people.

Green Papaya is truly an amazing remedy helpful in a variety of different ways.

It’s rich in:

  • Vitamins – Vit A, C and E, essential for our immune system.
  • Minerals – Magnesium and Potassium, for our nervous system and hundreds of enzymatic function in the body
  • Enzymes Papain and Chymopapain essential for breakdown of proteins
  • Variety of phytonutrients (plant nutrients) essential for our overall wellbeing.

Green papaya has anti-parasitic properties; it relieves issues including constipation, heartburn, irritable bowel, gastric problems and stomach ulcers.

Regular intake of green papaya promotes correct digestive function assisting in correct digestion and absorption of proteins.

Papaya, through the digestive cleansing, fights the inflammation and supports the rebuilding of the immune system. It revitalises the body and boosts energy levels through more efficient absorption of fully broken down nutrients.

The enzymes present in papaya are capable of destroying yeasts, tumours, ulcers, dissolving mucous and killing parasites.

Green papaya can greatly assist bloating, speed up weight loss, increase metabolism, boost healthy blood platelet function and promote youthful looking skin. It also has a compound that helps improve lactation in new mothers.

Without any doubt, green papaya is my favourite remedy for healing the digestive tract. I’ve recommended it over the years to hundreds of my patients with excellent results. The most stubborn cases of bloating or weight gain can be resolved with this one simple remedy.

If you are struggling with any of the mentioned issues, feel free to contact me to discuss it.
